A Listing of Poisonous
Plants and Trees:
PLEASE
NOTE:
This
list was taken from various sources (see references below listing).
I compiled this list due to numerous requests for this information.
During my research, I found most lists were short and incomplete. Therefore,
if a plant or tree was mentioned in any one of the lists, I included
it in this list. Most lists don't give the part of the plant or tree
that is toxic. Therefore, this list is not infering that all parts of
a plant or tree are toxic. However, when a source did indicate which
part, I have included that here has well.
Never
paint any wood you offer your bird!
Use only FDA approved food coloring!
KoolAid or any flavoring mix is not recommended as it invites your bird
to injest the wood! Plants
& Trees Considered Poisonous to Birds:
Note: This
list is not to be considered exhaustive. There may be other plants &
trees considered poisonous to birds that aren't included in this list.
