High Quality Stainless Steel Wide Jaw Link. Perfect for replacing smaller pear links or galvanized oval links (see VERY IMPORTANT note below). This link is 1 3/8" long, with a jaw opening of 5/16" (for cages with a 1/4" wire or less). Link shown on right (Link on left is our 4mm S.S. Oval Link) NOTE: ANY and ALL Oval links that are not either Nickel Plated, Aluminium or Stainless Steel ARE Galvanized oval links!! Galvanized links contain high levels of Zinc right on the surface of the link! That is what galvanization of steel is! Zinc being coated on the steel! Reason: To help keep the steel oval links from rusting. Designed for use outdoors and nautical, not for designed for parrot toys! Often found to be a big contributor of Zinc Toxicity in parrots!
